Planning a wedding shower can be a lot of work. You have to plan every little detail right down to the wedding shower invitation wording. After all the bride to be will only have one wedding shower in her life, so everything has to be as close to perfect as possible. Even though there needs to be a lot of attention to the details, there doesn' have to be a significant amount of planning involved. You can keep things simple and throw a bridal shower that the bride to be will remember for the rest of her life.

Start by making the guest list. You'll want to invite women from both the bride and the groom's sides of the family, as well as close friends. If you don't have a list to go by, ask the bride who you need to invite or work from the guest list from her wedding. Mail the invitations out at least three weeks before the shower. This will give the guests enough time to buy a gift. Make sure to include where the bride is registered in the invitation to make the shopping easier. Gather the decorations for the party. In addition to the decorations, you need to plan what type of food you want to serve. There's no need to overdo the food. Simply setting out chips, dip, a vegetable tray and something simple in the crock pot should be plenty. You should, however, order the bride to be a cake congratulating her. Have the cake designed in the colors of her wedding to make it more memorable.

When you are decorating for the shower, make sure you have ample room for people to set the presents they bring. People tend to purchase large items for wedding showers and you want to make sure that there is plenty of room to put everything. Lastly, make sure that the bride to be is at the shower approximately 30 minutes before guest are set to arrive. That way she is sure to be there to greet the guests, especially the ones you may not know personally
